Positive Masculinity Initiative Worker

This exciting role will be challenging young males to think differently when it comesto the information that they are accessing around the ‘Manosphere.’
This role will offer a mix of 1-1 case management, group- work, school delivery and research to map views and attitudes on this complex, emerging subject area. This post will be jointly funded by MAC and the Violence Prevention Unit (Wales).

The Positive Masculinity Initiative is to broaden and raise awareness on issues of misogyny and the manosphere to safeguard young people and prevent the risk of radicalised, extreme masculinity ideology being espoused. We aim to achieve this by encouraging and supporting young people to adopt pro-social values and attitudes towards people, irrespective of gender. The initiative also aims at enabling the ability of both adults and young people to identify traits of toxic masculinity in the young people around them and collectively reclaim the spaces that has been encroached into by empowering young people to recognise their own susceptibility and speak up when they feel vulnerable.
